Help Kelly Bring Her Cats Home

Hey friends….. Meet Tina, Peppa, and their mom, Kelly, who all currently live in Thailand but are trying to make their way home to New Orleans in the fall!
We are all so excited that Kelly is coming back to the United States after four years of teaching in Thailand, and she is desperately trying to make sure her two cats can come too. Transporting two animals to the other side of the world is a time-consuming and expensive feat, so I am creating this fundraiser to hopefully make sure the kitties are not left behind. It would break her heart and mine as well to see Kelly go through that.
I met Kelly over 20 years ago, and she is one of the most caring, compassionate, and supportive people I know. About a year and a half ago, she was on her way to class when she heard cries and discovered four tiny kittens who were only about two days old. After waiting to make sure the mom was not coming back, she decided to take them home.
For weeks she bottle fed all four kittens, every hour, on the hour, around the clock until they were old and strong enough to eat on their own. The mortality rate of abandoned kittens is extremely high, so the fact that she was able to keep all four alive for months is incredible. Sadly, after moving into a new home, the weakest of the four was killed by a stray who broke into her house. Barely a month later, the three remaining contracted a virus that killed another and left Peppa with permanent neuromotor damage making it very difficult for her walk or run, but it hasn’t stopped her from trying!
As you can imagine, through all of that heartache Kelly, Tina, and Peppa have become very attached to each other and I want to do everything I can to help them not be separated when she comes back home.
The money that is received from this fundraiser will directly go to needed travel vaccines, government health certificates, airline fees, and crates.
