On April 29th 2018, Brogan was brought to St. Elizabeth’s in Beaumont, Texas. His parents were concerned when he was having trouble breathing. Things progressed very quickly and Brogan was life flighted that evening by Texas Children’s Kangaroo Crew.

Brogan is now battling RSV and HIB (Haemophilus influenzae disease) simultaneously. His condition is improving, but still up and down. He was intubated for several days and given paralytics to try let his lungs heal and drain. He was pulled off the ventilator and the condition worsened so now he is back on sedation and intubated. At two months old, he is already fighting for his life.

Brogan’s parents have missed a week of work to be at his side and will need to miss more. When a child is fighting for their life, finances should be the last thing on a parents mind.

While they didn’t ask and had no idea were setting one of these up, together we can show our love and support to help ease their minds during this hard time.

Any support is much appreciated. Everything from prayers, a quick share, or even just one dollar will help lift this family up. This will help Brogan’s parents stay at his side.

Bless all of  you!!!

Brogan is now off the Hi-flo oxygen and on regular oxygen, and has learned how to make a good cough on his own!

They have increased his feeds to 90ml every 3 hours. The speech therapists are going to help him learn how to use his mouth and swallow again so he will no longer need a feeding tube. Then we can move out of the ICU!

There are no words that can properly convey our deep appreciation for all of the support we have recieved. Brogan still has some recovering to do, so please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We are blessed to have each of you in our lives. Looking forward to letting you all know when we are out of PICU!

Brogan is having good morning so far! He was extubated last night and was able to get his vitals closer to normal with just a little help. He is looking the best he has since being admitted. They are working to get his oxygen to where it needs to be and watching him very closely. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and support during this time. Hopefully everything will continue to improve and our next update will be that he is breathing under normal conditions!

Bless you all.
