Help Karen get her Doctor’s Degree

My cousin Karen, from Zacatecas Mexico is a sixth semester student at the faculty of Human Medicine and was selected to make an international exchange trip to the city of Cairo, Egypt during the month of July 2019. The exchange is by means of IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Student's Associations) and here has the opportunity to participate in a medical research project in Egypt (IFMSA-Egypt) Kasr El Eini University, Cairo, in the Department of Radiology. The name of the project is Incidence of Diagnosed Breast Cancer during Mammographic Screening, the objective of the project is 1- To teach students definitions / steps / basic uses of conducting a primary investigation. 2- Understand the use of mammography to detect tumors and their different types: screening mammography and diagnostic mammography. 3- Learn to analyze a breast scanner to detect results related to the project. 4- Calculation of the incidence and relationship between mammography and breast cancer. She comes from a low income family and is strieving to become an amazing doctor. Therefore, in order to achieve her success we are trying to raise money to cover her expenses such as transportation, books, and materials she needs to reach her dream to become a Doctor. She will be greatly appreciate any donation and help given to her. Thank you! 




Mi prima Karen, originaria de Zacatecas México, es estudiante de sexto semestre en la facultad de medicina humana y  fue seleccionada para realizar un intercambio  internacional a la ciudad del Cairo, Egipto  durante el mes de julio de 2019. El intercambio es por medio de la IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Student’s Associations) y aquí tiene la oportunidad de participar en un proyecto de investigación medica en Egypt (IFMSA-Egypt) KasrEl Eini University, Cairo, en el departamento de Radiologia, el nombre del proyecto es Incidence of Diagnosed Breast Cancer during Mammographic Screening, el objetivo del proyecto es 1- Enseñar a los estudiantes definiciones / pasos / usos básicos de conducir una investigación primaria. 2- Comprender el uso de la mamografía para detectar tumores y sus diferentes tipos: mamografía de detección y mamografía de diagnóstico. 3- Aprender a analizar un escáner de mama para detectar resultados relacionados con el proyecto. 4- Cálculo de la incidencia y relación entre mamografía y cáncer de mama. Ella proviene de una familia de bajos ingresos y está luchando para convertirse en una doctora increíble. Por lo tanto, para lograr su éxito, estamos tratando de recaudar fondos para cubrir sus gastos, como el transporte, los libros y los materiales que necesita para alcanzar su sueño de convertirse en Doctora. Ella apreciará enormemente cualquier donación y ayuda que se le haya dado. Gracias!
