Help Juliette Battle Lyme Disease

Donation protected
Desperate times call for desperate measures. My life has been absolutely turned upside down due to chronic Lyme disease along with the co-infection Bartonella. My name is Juliette, I am 27 years old from Calgary Alberta. Ive dedicated my time over the years to living a health lifestyle, making it a priority. Working as a personal trainer and spending my spare time in the outdoors with my dog my life came to a screeching halt when my chronic illness finally overtook my body and my health decreased drastically. Going from being a strong, motivated, articulate person to someone constantly sick, overwhelmed with life’s regular tasks, and mental break downs were just the tip of the ice berg to the health problems I was about to experience. Eventually being unable to work entirely my life was put on hold as I became bedridden. If Lyme disease is not caught in earlier stages chronic symptoms become completely debillitating. The list of symptoms I have personally encountered is very long. I have included some of them to give an idea as to what I’m going through:

MENTAL

Memory loss
Brain fog
Disorientation
Brain swelling
Paranoia, depression, anxiety, mood swings, irritability
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Losing vision temporarily, light sensitivity

Word recall difficulties
Speaking/Writing difficulties
Confusion
Difficulty with decision making
Difficulty reading
Sudden inability to multitask
Sensory overload
Slurred speech

Bone pain
Limb numbness
Vertigo
Stabbing pains throughout body
Difficulty walking
Poor balance
Bladder dysfunction
Insomnia
Kidney stones

Extreme light sensitivity

Jaw dysfunction
Pain/swelling in eyes
Skin sensitivity

Burning sensations throughout body

Unfortunately chronic illness isn’t only taking a massive toll on myself but my mother as well. Unable to financially support myself and overwhelmed with medical costs, the burden has been entirely places on my poor mother. My mom is 65 years old and has been on her own for many years since my dad’s passing in 2010. The toll of being my physical and financial caregiver since becoming ill is too much of a burden for one person. Not only is she caring and providing for myself but my 5 year old German Shepard/boxer and my cat. Being in a place of such vulnerability is one of the hardest positions I have ever been in. Never in my life have I imagined needing to ask for such help but here I am out of resources and out of options. The average yearly costs of someone living/treating Lyme disease is around $50,000 per year. In your twenties your supposed to be working towards owning your own home but I am just worried about how will I afford my own treatment. Using this as a last resort asking for help from the bottom of my heart. Feel free to visit my blog for more information on my illness. www.lemonoverlyme.ca
