Hello Friends of Joe Hook and Sherrie Dennis,
Many of you know Joe Hook as Sherrie’s fiancée, Brandon & Mike’s Dad, Papa Joe or beloved son/brother/uncle of the Hook Family of Catonsville. How you know him could be as a former classmate, umpire, bar tender, electrician, member of the Knights of Columbus, golf buddy, softball, karaoke singer or just a really good friend.
No matter how you know Joe, you know he was a giving guy who helped many people in need financially, as a volunteer or as a friend. Now, Joe needs your HELP. On Saturday, April 21,st, Joe had a bizarre fall into a fire that severely damaged his lungs,
head and hands and caused multiple bodily functions to stop working. Since that night, he has been in Virginia Commonwealth Hospital Critical Care Unit in an induced coma. He has suffered multiple cardiac events, has been (and is) on a lung machine, heart defibrillator, kidney dialysis and multiple medications to keep him stable.
Like most of us these days, Joe has a high deductible health care policy that does not pay all of the bills that are and will be mounting up as he slowly recovers from this freak accident. We expect him to be in critical care for the next few weeks with surgeries and rehabilitation when he can breathe and function without machines. As a result, we are asking all of you to consider contributing to this Go Fund Me in any way that you can.
The funds will be used to pay Joe’s immediate care expenses, lost wages, housing expenses, transportation to VCU in Virginia for the family and many unanticipated expenses that are certain to pop up. In addition to any monetary help, we are also asking for your prayers, thoughts and assistance to Sherrie, Brandon and Mike at this most difficult time.
