Help Joe

As most of you know on Friday March 1st 2019 my son Joe was riding his bike on Rossville Ave with a friend when attempting to cross McBaine while on his bike  he was struck by a car.  The girl driving had run the stop sign.  He landed on the hood of her vehicle and then hit the pavement.  which is when i was driving past and witnessed and couldn’t believe my eyes seeing my son pound to the ground and his bicycle underneath the car.  The odds were in Joes favor health wise as to he suffered a contusion of his knee and soreness in his neck and shoulder.  Apparently it is illegal for a 14 yr old child to ride his bike on the sidewalk and the law  considers it riding against traffic even if it’s on the sidewalk.  most of you know that corner very well and how no one stops before that stop sign.  picking up the police report i was utterly shocked to see that only the girls statement was taken and of course she said she stopped at the stop sign and inched up.  which having a knee that swollen wouldn’t have happened from if she was inching up.  i am livid that this girl is getting away with this.  we are asking for donations to get joe a new bicycle any help is deeply appreciated.. thank you from our family to yours
