Help JJ Get A Leg
Donation protected
On October 15,2018 Sergeant JJ Gonzales's left leg was amputated above the knee. He has been with Finney County Sheriff's Office for the past 18 years. During his 18 years with the Sheriff's Department he has been a Jailer, Patrol Deputy, Member of the Gang Unit, Member of the SWAT Team, Warrants Deputy, and Now a Sergeant in the Warrants and Fugitive Division.
He has always led a very active life. The prosthesis without the rejected electronics will not allow him to work in close quarters, go from a walk to run, drag, kneel, lift, pull, wrestle or shift from left to right rapidly.
At this point, insurance will only cover the basic model which is a hydraulic style. This will allow him to "walk" but unfortunately not much more. The knee that he needs to continue the lifestyle and livelihood is a micro process knee. We are reaching out for help before he starts developing health issues.
Throughout the years, his dedication and selflessness has shown his love for our community. JJ has gone through his fair share of obstacles in his lifetime but this obstacle has been the hardest, yet he still manages to remain positive. JJ is in need of your support....please help him get his life back-the life he deserves!
Thanks Nora Schultz, Gaye Beasley, Jessica Pacheco, Pamela Emuedue, Lana Urtega, and Bill Powers for helping raise funds for Joseph "JJ" Gonzales.
