Help Jennifer as she fights Acute Leukemia

Donation protected
November 1st is a day that Jennifer, her husband Jason and their 4 children will never forget. It’s the day their family discovered some unexpected and very bad news. Jennifer went to the doctor because some of her lymph-nodes were swollen and after some blood work was taken and evaluated, Jennifer was referred to an oncologist and then sent to the ER. From there, the oncologist transferred Jennifer to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, which is where they are currently and will be for the foreseeable future. Shortly after arriving at the hospital and after undergoing a bone marrow biopsy, they received the official diagnosis of A.L.L. T-Cell (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia).

They are asking for everyone to pray for healing. They are thankful and appreciative of everyone’s prayers and support thus far and are trusting God during this process. As they have stated several times already, “We know God is good and we trust Him no matter what comes our way. We are so thankful to God for blessing us with a great church, family and friends who have all given us so much support already. Thank you all.”

Jennifer began her first chemo treatment November 6th and will continue treatment in St. Louis for a while.  Jennifer and her family have a long road in the fight against this disease. Her doctors have come up with an aggressive treatment plan. Jennifer and Jason have been blessed by the wonderful team of nurses and doctors that they have  at Barnes.

As far as needs go,and  because of the nature of this diagnosis, it will be A LONG BATTLE, one that will test them physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially!

We as their family and friends have an opportunity to resolve at least one of those challenges.

For the foreseeable future, they will be in St. Louis in the hospital, but the family lives in Springfield Missouri.  This means a lot of travel back and forth, hotels, AirBnB, meals, gas, unforeseen expenses, house sitting, child-care costs, etc.  And after she is discharged from Barnes in St. Louis, she will need to travel back to St. Louis for 5 days a month for at least a year. They have a long road ahead of them and the last thing they need right now is to have to worry about how to get the family back and forth from the hospital and the day to day expenses of a family of 6.

Lets help Jennifer kick Leukemia’s butt!!
