Help Jeannette Get Home After Being Robbed Oversea

The day of New Years Eve, my money bag that I wear around my waist under my clothes broke while I was out exploring Maputo, Mozambique and on my walk home, after stuffing it into my camera bag and latching it closed, some men stole the money bag out from my bag. It contained my passport, drivers license, medical ID, all my credit and debit cards, all the cash I had and any record of my identity. On top of this, i was supposed to fly back home on the first but the US Embassy in Maputo is closed for New Years Eve and Day with no help from the emergency line and I am stranded here without ability to get new papers or information on when I can fly home. The airline won't let me switch the flight without a penalty fee and the difference in fare which is almost $700. Plus I have to pay for a new passport and identification. The police are resisting filing a report, and the peace Corp volunteer friend i am staying with has limited loquid funds to help me. Its really hard for me to ask for help, especially monetarily, but i could really use the assistance covering some of this extra unplanned for cost heading into the new year and the beginning of the month with the expe ses at home im going to have to pay as well.
