She also works as an assistant in WashU's Institute of Public Health, supporting the Center for Community Health Partnership and Research and the Gun Violence Initiative.
In the future, Ibura plans to earn a MD/MPH and to care for under-served populations as a pediatrician.

This summer she plans to study abroad in Lima, Peru to practice her Spanish-speaking skills,  better understand development and modernization in the Andean region, and learn about traditional Incan medical practices. This trip runs from June 3rd - July 14th 2019, and Ibura will earn 7 credits. Additionally, this program includes excursions to Machu Picchu as well as to Cusco, the center of the ancient Incan Empire.

Ibura needs your help in raising funds for this life-changing trip! Any dollar amount is greatly appreciated. She is also applying to scholarships for study abroad. If there are any that you know of please feel free to reach out!
