Help Humphrey After Tragic Neglect
Donation protected
Humphrey, (named after Bogart), a 5-yr-old English Bulldog the color of yummy toffee, has been through the ringer.
Found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter, Humphrey's skin was shredded with punctures and lacerations covering his head, neck and arms; the wounds were so bad and untreated that there were maggots embedded in the wounds on his ears.
As though that weren't enough, his eyes were deeply infected and he was struggling to walk.
And yet, this 50 pound marshmallow of cuteness had love for everyone he met. Humphrey just wanted to snuggle and be close to everyone at Baldwin.
The shelter staff went out of their way to alleviate his suffering as best they could until a rescue group could take over...enter Wags and Walks.
Wags and Walks has just picked up Humphrey and he is on his way to safety and health with one of our caring vets .
Will you help us with Humphrey's medical care....the treatment of his of his wounds, skin lacerations, eye infection and whatever it is that is impeding his ability to walk?
This is one special dog and we are lucky enough to be part of his survival journey.
Please join us.
Once he is stable we will also be looking for a caring foster!
