Help Hero Become Family

We would like to introduce you to our family. We have four children, Hailey, age 9, Connor, age 7, Celeste, age 5 and Elyse, age 3. Our children have been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation, Dysautonomia with other complications. Our oldest daughter is currently in a wheelchair from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome as both arms and her one leg are effected.
Our youngest is tube feed due to Mass Cell Activation Syndrome and gastroparsis. Elyse does not have enough safe foods in her diet to sustain her.
This brings us to a need in our family for a service dog. We have made a commitment to obtaining and training a black lab. The children have picked the name of “Hero” for their dog. The dog will be trained to help retrieve things for Hailey, help her with independence in her wheelchair as well as emotional support for the constant pain she endures. The dog will also be trained to sense Connor, Celeste and Elyse are in distress and need help.
The training for the service dog will start in a few weeks and will be on going for several months.
