Help Heidi while she fights Cancer

Donation protected
Hello, I am starting this GoFund Me for one of my dearest friends Heidi (Smith) Burk.  In February Heidi will be spending a minimum of a month at Vanderbilt Hospital to undergo a Stem Cell Transplant. She needs our help!  Here is a little bit about Heidi.
Heidi grew up in Augusta Maine and was a 1994 Graduate of Cony high school.
After high school she attended Colby-Sawyer College in New London New Hampshire where she majored in Athletic Training (it is also where her and I met, so it was an important part of her life).   She graduated in 1998 and moved on to the next chapter of her life.
Heidi joined the Army shortly after graduating CSC where she was a surgical Tech.
After discharge she worked at a few great hospitals with so many wonderful people she talks about all the time.  She is currently working at Owensboro Health in Kentucky as an operating room nurse.  I know she feels her co workers are like family and have also been a HUGE support to her.
Possibly the greatest accomplish of Heidi’s life is her amazing and beautiful daughter Kayla. Kayle is a wonderful support to her mom and to hear Heidi talk about her you can just feel the love.  Kayla is a senior in High school this year and is not only an wonderful and hard working student but is also a member of her schools color guard.
Heidi has had a very difficult year!!!  Heidi was diagnosed January 19, 2018 with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and began Chemo on February 8thfinally finishing on July5th.  It was a long hard process but she fought it like a pro and even continued to work and support her daughter.  We all had high hopes that Chemo had done the trick and she would be in the clear.  Sadly a PET scan on November 7thshowed the Hodgkin’s lymphoma had retuned back in her bones and now in her lymph nodes.  Heidi is refusing to give up hope and began a new round of ICE chemo on December 12th.  This is more aggressive and she has gone 3 days in a row for 8 hour treatment and will be scheduled in February for her Stem Cell transplant.
It is my hope that we the people that know Heidi and care for her can take the time to donate what you can.  Heidi is a single mom and college is coming quick.  Lets help her be able to pay her bills and not worry about money in a time where she needs to be fighting for her life.
Thank you
