Help Harry Beat Stomach Cancer

Greetings my fellow group members.
Yesterday many of us were shocked to hear the news posted by one of the icons of the model railroad hobby. Yesterday Harry A Henning III posted that he has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. He is preparing to start the battle against cancer and begin treatments to put him on the road to recovery.When the word got out, our team of admins began a discussion in our admin chat group and were completely taken back by the news. While I do not know Harry myself, I certainly know who he is and have done business with his store. I’m sure many of you have. I have followed his page for some time now as many of you have but also, when people ask questions on any of the groups, including our own, about repairs for their locomotives and or parts, inevitably, someone will mention and or tag Harry and get him into the loop or point them to Henning’s Trains. Henning’s has been a model railroading source for hard to find replacement parts, of which, if you need wheels, Henning’s probably makes them. Also a good source of new locomotives and rolling stock.
So, when our group of admins were discussing this and how cancer has very little separation from any of us. Either you have had cancer, you know someone who has cancer or have lost a loved one who had cancer. We wanted to rally and show our support for Harry A Henning III and let him know we stand strong with him on his road to recovery and wish him all that we can and hope that he makes a fast and full recovery. Strength in numbers. We encourage everyone to keep Harry in your thoughts, wish him well. Sometimes just a little more support to help moral is worth more than one can imagine in beating any ailment. Never give up! We also encourage our members to support all others who are fighting their own battles with the other forms of cancer. They all need your help and support on their road to recovery.
In our support, we the admins have come up for our group, Pop’s O Scale Model Trains, a logo that shows we stand as a united group with Harry against stomach cancer. Our admins have reached out to Harry to make sure he would be OK with what we wanted to do to let him know we were wishing him our best.
November happens to be Stomach Cancer Awareness Month, it is just around the corner. This is a heck of a way to learn that.
In our support, we will be adding this logo to our cover pics that we use of members trains as a reminder that we have not only Harry’s back but anyone who has been affected with or have someone affected with cancer. We all agree, CANCER SUCKS!
