Help Hamdi Study Abroad In France!

Hello everyone!
My name is Hamdi. I am a university student from Toronto, Canada who is getting ready to enter my fourth year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Due to the structure of the nursing program, it is very difficult to study abroad throughout the school year and attain the appropriate credits. Earlier this year I took my learning into my own hands and applied for a summer program abroad. I have been lucky enough to be one of the students selected to take part in a month-long French language program in the beautiful city of Saint-Étienne at the International Centre for Language and Civilization (CILEC).
Unfortunately, I am having difficulty raising the money needed for the trip through part-time work alone. The course tuition is 550 euros while residence is 450 euros, coming to a total of 1000 euros (approx. 1500 Canadian dollars). Since there is no meal plan, I must also budget for food and other expenses while I am away. And because this program is not a part of an official exchange (i.e., those done in the regular school year), I am ineligible for student loans and must pay out-of-pocket. As the time for my departure draws closer, I am finding myself very short on cash and do not think I will be able to meet my goal in time.
As someone who is interested in learning French for my career as a health practitioner in Canada as well as developing a greater understanding of global health by spending time on a different continent, I find that experiences like these are extremely valuable but often inaccessible to those who do not have the funds or resources to take part in them. Studying abroad is a wonderful way to advance your academic and career goals while developing on a personal level and experiencing a completely different culture and language.
I sincerely appreciate every dollar you are able to spare for my education. As a future nurse, I take my own professional development very seriously and cannot wait to pay it forward as I progress through my career. No one should have to miss out on any great opportunity due to financial barriers!
