Help Haku Get the Care He Needs

Donation protected
Haku, as many of you know, is my best friend and fellow practicer of yoga, balancing and circus acts. He and I share a very special bond.

Recently (a few months ago), he started having seizures. We brought him to the vet and they drew blood and prescribed him seizure medicine.
A week later, Haku was diagnosed with the deadly parasite “Neospora Caninum.”
My vet didn’t tell me anything about it, that it was deadly, that there is no actual cure. She just prescribed him Clyndamyacin for 14 days and said it should be fine. Saying to come back for another blood test. I informed her we were moving in 2 weeks.

I read up on Neospora and found out it is a very deadly parasite and no less than 30 days of the medicine should be given and that’s at the very minimum. If a dog develops paralasys in the legs, the prognosis is grim.
I’m not sure why she didn’t persribe him more. I was already 500 dollars in to getting him checked out and such and she wanted me to come back for more blood tests after two weeks. (Blood tests alone are over 100$ every time).

We gave Haku the 2 weeks of the medicine and kept him on the seizure medicine. He seemed okay for that 2 weeks but the day after finishing the medicine, he had two more seizures.

Last night, he had eight seizures and became almost unresponsive. He is having a hard time walking and he’s stumbling around. I was convinced I was going to lose him last night.

His legs seem to be getting worse and worse. We have a vet appt for him tomorrow but with the recent move and me receiving training pay right now for the first month and a half of my new job, I have basically nothing in my bank account.
