Help Goober Walk Again

Donation protected
On Tuesday, March 7 Goober was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). In Goober's case this means that one of the cushioning disks between the vertebrae ruptured. When this happens the material from this disk takes the path of least resistance and moves into the area of the spinal cord. The material is now pressing against his spinal cord and as a result Goober has lost the use of his hind legs.

If left untreated the symptoms could move past paralysis and eventually his bladder will stop working (meaning the disease has become fatal). The recommended treatment for Goober is surgery. This will include the removal of material from his spinal column as well as treatment on his other disks to prevent a relapse. Such an invasive surgery will require in hospital recovery. Any funds raised will be used for medical bills (surgery, recovery, and medication).

It wasn't but two days ago that Goober was running, jumping, and playing. At home he is the life of the house with his silly personality. He is spoiled with love and attention and is truly a member of the family. His health means everything to us. Any donations or sharing of this cause would be greatly appreciated by our family. For those who are not in a position to donate, we still thank you for your time and attention.  Thank you for all of the love and support!! Please spread the word.
