Our friend Gisele is in need of help!
For everyone who knows Gisele, a smiling, positive and hard-working woman, knows she's also very proud, she only allowed me to create this GofundMe because the money she's still earning as a waitress is no longer enough to cover all her expenses.
This year she is facing the most troublesome time of her life. It has been a rough 2019 from the start:
Firstly, there was fire in her apartment where she lost most of her belongings (See here: here and here pt-br), secondly, she has been diagnosticated with breast cancer and finally, cancer has spread to her livers.
She considered returning to Brazil, but as she did not know when she would get a vacancy in the public health system to start her treatment and would also be unemployed, she decided to stay in the US where she has a job. She was welcomed by friends who help her as best they can with hitchhikers, affection and emotional support in this battle. She got free treatment for charity in a hospital and she is still working to meet her personal costs such as rent, food, and transportation for her treatment, but expenses have soared, and she is afflicted with the surgeries that will soon be needed for total removal of left breast (mastectomy) and reconstructive plastics, besides the period without work.
We welcome any donation, initially, we are trying to raise funds to help her with all laboratory and medical bills costs and for the plastic surgery. The screening and laboratory bills total a sum of USD 12,462.44 and USD 16,000.00 for reconstruction surgery of her breasts - see it here .
If you cannot help with money, alternatively you can share this Fundraiser with your family and friends, and hopefully, we will be able to help Gisele a little.

Para todos que conhecem a Gisele, uma mulher sorridente, positiva e batalhadora sabem que ela também é muito orgulhosa, ela só me autorizou a criar esse GofundMe porque o dinheiro que ela ainda está ganhando no trabalho de garçonete não está mais sendo o suficiente para cobrir todas suas despesas.
O ano começou com um incêndio no apartamento que Gisele dividia com outra brasileira (Matéria: aqui e aqui ) . Após esse susto, ela foi diagnosticada com cancer de mama e com metástase no fígado.
Ela considerou voltar para o Brasil, mas como não sabia quando iria conseguir uma vaga no SUS para iniciar o tratamento, também ficaria desempregada, decidiu ficar nos EUA onde ela tem trabalho. E foi acolhida por amigos que a ajudam como podem com caronas, carinho e apoio emocional nessa batalha. Conseguiu o tratamento gratuito pela caridade num hospital. Continua trabalhando para arcar com seus custos pessoais como aluguel, alimentação e transporte para seu tratamento, porém as despesas aumentaram muito e ela está aflita com as cirurgias que brevemente serão necessárias para a retirada total do seio esquerdo (mastectomia) e as plásticas reconstrutivas, também o período sem trabalhar.
E é por isso que estamos lançando essa vaquinha entre nós, não apenas seus amigos nos EUA, mas também no Brasil onde sua família e amigos de longa data estão. O total da dívida até o momento é de USD 12,462.44 (veja aqui.) e o valor total das plásticas reconstrutivas USD 16,000.00. Se Deus quiser, com ajuda mesmo que pequena de cada um que a conhece, conseguiremos levantar dinheiro suficiente para ajudá-la nesse momento tão difícil.
