Help George White's Family

Sadly and unexpectedly, George White, brother of Sandy, Terrie, Lisa and Judy and son of Jerry & Phyllis, passed away on December 28th. This page has been created to help the family in their time of need. George did not have life insurance so the family has had to assume all the costs associated with his memorial service. This has made a sad situation even more difficult to shoulder. If you can give a little, it will go a long way.
A little bit about George White:
George pretty much grew up in an ice arena. At a very young age he started group lessons at the DU ice arena where he learned both figure skating and hockey. When North Jeffco Ice Arena was built he started private figure skating lessons - passing his first figure test - and shortly after decided to focus 100% on hockey. During the summer months George played baseball - which he was also very skilled. In 1976 George graduated from Arapahoe High School and continued both his education and his hockey career at the University of Minnesota in Crookston. After college, he returned to Colorado where he coached several hockey teams at South Suburban Ice Arena - including his alma mater, Arapahoe High School.
During the past several years George became ill with numerous issues including a rare blood disorder, kidney disease and diabetes. Through all of this, and his multiple stints in the hospital, he continued to work at the ice arena where he felt most at home. George was a friend and a mentor to many through the years and will be greatly missed.
