Thanks to take a moment to read our story:
When I think about my sister a lot of good things comes to my mind, she's funny, joyful, kind, is a dream daughter, a loving sister, a cool aunt, a ride or die friend and loving mother of 2. We always been grateful to have her in our lives, and now we're living a new chapter in our family book.
On September 2018 she noticed a red mark in her left breast, we didn't give a lot of importance to that because to us look like some type of allergy, after 1 month she started feeling pain and swelling and she found a small lump under her arm. We decided to make an appointment with the doctor. He ordered to make a lot of tests and she was also biopsied.
January 3rd we got that phone call to go after the results and she was diagnosed positive for stage 4 IBC (Inflammatory breast cancer) metastasized to axillary , supraclavicular and mediastinal lymph nodes. For all those people that dont know about this type of cancer is a rare disease, accounting for 1% to 5% of all invasive breast cancers. It is the most aggressive form of breast cancer,
We felt that our world was falling apart, is the first time that a member of our family faces cancer, we didn’t know what to do, because when you hear that this happens to other people you never think that something call cancer can happen to you or you love ones. But today more than ever God is keeping us together, and today our faith is bigger because every day that we get up the bed and see that Gaby is still fighting is another miracle from heaven and we’re thankful for that.
My sister started chemo January 23rd and this one was the 1st of 6 infusions for now.. Is still unknown where else it has spread besides her lymph nodes. She's in Hopes of been able to proceed with surgery and radiations after the chemo.
Gaby is a hard working women who refused to stop working, but sadly sometimes she's unable to get up from bed after chemo, doctors appointments and all side effects that this aggressive treatment causes.
With all that said, and since my sister was always there for me and for everyone she knows and cares for, we want to ask for your help.
She doesn't count with any medical insurance and right know family, friends and church are supporting financially, but is not enough, and there's a lot a treatments, medical bills, medicines, radiations and the upcoming surgery that we cannot cover.
Help Gaby to fight Cancer, anything is helpful and if you think is small I can assure you for us is going to be a big help. And if your financial situation don't allow you to help with money Please feel free to Share this post..
Every prayer, every positive thought, every dollar, and every gesture of support is greatly appreciated.
ANY AMOUNT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
