Help Fund Our Band's Album!

For over a decade, we have fought against every grain you could think of to make our music work. We moved from Kansas City, to Los Angeles, to Boston, back to LA and eventually back to Kansas City again in hopes to make a band work. After over 14 years of constant struggling to get dedicated musicians to stick and take it as seriously as we want to, we have decided to make this album ourselves. Of course, funding an album with only two incomes is extremely difficult. As we are also having to pay for a studio drummer along with mixing and mastering as well. **About The Band** With no direct genre to fit into, and finding it difficult to label ourselves with any specific style, we decided to name our band Unknown. Our songs vary from the style of 'Slave to the Grind' era of Skid Row, Testament, Guns N' Roses, Pantera, Judas Priest, Powerman 5000, Guttermouth, Megadeth and Avenged Sevenfold. Our lyrics are derived mostly from what we have experienced in life and are lyrics that everyone can relate to. Our songwriting is a very complicated process as we strive very hard not to repeat things that have already been done, or things we have already done to make sure each song is new and services the content of the song well. We don't accept anything less than our best, and we can ensure this album will deliver. **About The Members** Holly Lingle- Originally a rhythm guitarist with her main musical influence being Styx, she changed over to the role of vocalist when she discovered Axl Rose and Sebastian Bach. She is classically trained by acclaimed Wagnerian Mezzo-Soprano Angeliki Theoharis and Baritone Sam McElroy of Los Angeles. Along with this, she is ever-practicing her screaming voice. She cites her "Four Horsemen of Metal" singers as being Axl Rose, Sebastian Bach, Rob Halford and M. Shadows. With a fiercely raw and unique voice, Holly is always trying to apply "what sounds right for the song". Also a student of piano and music theory, Holly has helped write and compose the songs and especially favors the "dark, demented sounds". Jak Angelescu- Rhythm/lead guitarist. Starting out on singer-songwriter work, moving eventually to punk, and rock n' roll and eventually heavy metal, she cites Slash, Joe Perry, CC Deville, Alex Skolnick, Snake Sabo, Scotti Hill, Teru, KK Downing, Glenn Tipton, Jon Schaffer and Synyster Gates as her top guitar influences. Jak's style  takes up multiple parts of combining rhythm-heavy work with lead licks in between to help "move the song along". She began classical guitar training in Los Angeles at LACC, and was accepted into the UMKC Conservatory under the tutelage of Doug Neidt. However, the tuition was too expensive to continue. She now continues her own private studies with Christina Darding. She's a student on the Synyster Gates School of Guitar, and hosts the free online series for the school's lessons called "Milk The Lessons" along with many well-received tutorials for Avenged Sevenfold songs and solos. Although it costs a lot more than $1,000 to do an album, this will help us get a HUGE headstart and we are planning to finish one entire song to release to show everyone exactly what we can do! Even a dollar is tremendous help! As this campaign continues, we will be saving back our own money and practicing even harder to ensure proficient studio time. Thank you all SOOO much!!!
