Help support Trigger's surgery

Donation protected
Normally I am not one to ask for help, especially a hand out of money, but I feel the need at this time. I recently got a mini schnauzer, Trigger, who is 7 months as of April 9th.Trigger has been the light on a dark day for me. This dog is my very best friend. He is so full of life and never ceases to amaze his family at how smart and full of life he is. I decided to take him to the vet as i had him lined up for a neuter appointment when he was 5 months, only to realize that both of his testicles were not descended, only one has descended so one is still inside his abdomen. Retained testicles is a condition called cryptorchidism and has to be surgically removed to get the undescended testicle out. I have been informed that should his undescended testicle not be removed it is highly likely that Trigger will develop testicular cancer. Testicles start out inside the abdomen and have a fibrous "string" attached to them to pull them to where they are supposed to be. The "string" actually shrinks until it pulls the testicle into the scrotum. They are still attached to the "string". It is not locked in place, just kind of floating in his abdomen. This free floating is the problem. As it free floats, the "string" can wrap around itself or other organs and strangle itself or the organ. Then you are talking emergency surgery and possible death. i know this may be a lot to take in but in order for me to explain what’s going on i have to tell you about the whole thing.

I worry that i will not save up money fast enough to get the surgery taken care of and his undescended testicle will start to grow a tumor in his abdomen. The Veterinarian said that surgery within the next month would be the only option; Unfortunately i was quoted 400-600. Due to the "exploration" aspect of the surgery, in which the vet must locate the testicle within trigger, the price is much higher than a typical neutering and may vary depending on the amount of time taken to locate it.. I am scrambling to figure out how i can get this done for him within the next month for my poor baby. My budget is pretty stretched at the moment and am trying to think of a way to get this done the soonest.
Anything will help us greatly and any amount left over post-surgery, (if there is any) will be donated to the local humane society to help with food and supplies for their animals.

We truly appreciate all of your time and compassion.
