Help for the O’Neill/Livermore Family

Donation protected
Our twin sons, Robert & Patrick, were born on October 7, 2018 at only 27 weeks.  They spent the next 2 months in the NICU and were discharged on December 4th.  Robby was born with two inguinal hernias that were surgically repaired on December 11th.  Last Thursday the 27th, Robby started to get sick.  We took him to the pediatrician on Friday where he diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus).  We were advised to bring him to the ER at Hasbro Children’s Hospital as he was starting to show signs of breathing harder than normal.  At Hasbro they confirmed the diagnosis and admitted him.  Since he is a twin and Paddy started getting sick that morning, they advised to bring Paddy in for a check and he was admitted as well.  It has been a crazy roller coaster the past week and as of today  both boys are in the ICU.  Paddy had to be put on a ventilator yesterday as his little lungs and body could no longer support his attempts to breathe and he needed a rest.  Robby is holding his own but is now on a feeding tube since he is struggling to eat and the doctors have found another inguinal hernia.  As all this happened, I have been out of work and received TDI.  Unfortunately, that only last for 13 weeks and it started in September when I was written out of work due to pregnancy complications.  I need to be at home caring for the boys as they have lingering effects of being preemies and have multiple appointments with different specialists.  Eli works as a landscaper and was laid off a few weeks ago.  He is waiting for unemployment but as we all know, that is only a small percentage of your salary.   We have been living at the hospital and the Ronald McDonald house the past week and we may have another week or two to go while the boys remain in Hasbro.  Once the boys are discharged it will be a while for them to recover so Eli will need to be at home to help and unable to apply for another job. I do receive a small amount of assistance from the State but again not enough to cover all of our bills.  Our rent alone is $1,000 a month and my assistance does not even cover half of that, plus car payment, insurance and utilities.

While our family has been able to help us out a little financially but they can only do so much.  We are asking for donations to help us through the next month or two until we can get the boys more stable and Eli can return to work.  Any help you could provide in any amount would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your generosity and thank you to everyone who has reached out and sent prayers for our little family.  We are thankful for all of you!
