Help for Julie Cole

This gofundme account has been created to raise money for my dear friend, Steve Cole and his wife Julie. Sadly, last June, Julie was diagnosed with
advanced liver disease that has also led to an increasing Alzheimer’s/dementia-like diminishment of cognitive functions. As a result, Julie has been on a leave of absence and will never work again.  Steve has been her care giver 24/7 ever since, as Julie cannot be left alone and
requires assistance getting in & out of bed, personal care, dressing, preparing meals, etc. To add to their situation, Steve had to leave his position at
American Airlines at the end of 2018 because he could not commit to relocating to Ft. Worth, TX and lack of income is now becoming an issue. They
had their savings to cover Julie’s to date co-pay and deductible medical expenses not covered by Steve’s health insurance and other household
expenses. Those reserves have now been depleted, but Steve is unable to return to the workforce given Julie’s need for constant care.

This week they received the very sad news that Julie is not going to be placed on the transplant list and is not eligible for a transplant and that her dementia has reached stage 5 out of 7 stages. 
The hope for recovery has been diminished and they are just trying to keep her comfortable and out of pain.  This was devastating news to the whole family and we are still praying for a miracle.
