Hi,
My name is Carlos. I am asking for your help to make life easier for my severely disabled sister Carla.
I am originally from Chile and have been living away from home and family for over 20 years in Spain and Ireland. My sister Carla was diagnosed with Meningitis when she was only six months old, which she survived with severe brain damage. She is 34 years old now and our aging mother Dionolda has been taking great care of her for the last 34 years. As Carla is both mentally and physically disabled and consequently, is unable to do anything for herself. The most difficult problem for my mother who is 68 years old is helping with bathing and toileting her in a tiny bathroom, which is only 1.5 square meters in size. She does this caring on her own without help from others.
I have done a lot to help my mother and my sister who I dearly love. Now my wife and I are soon going to have our second baby and we are no longer able to help as much as before.
The money raised will be used to build a more convenient bathroom, which will make life so much easier for my mother and Carla. The estimated cost to build the new bathroom is 10.000,00 euro.
Your contribution, no matter how small will be deeply appreciated by my family and me. A new bathroom will make such a difference to the day-to-day care of my sister Carla by my mother.
