Help Find Merlot

Donation protected
On Sept. 11, 2017, my cat Merlot got off her harness and ran into the woods behind my apartment. She's been missing since. I've tirelessly searched for her non-stop. I've tried all the conventional ways of finding a lost pet: I've hung and distributed over 300 lost flyers, canvassed multiple neighborhoods, used social media, visited shelters and local vets, set out food, etc.

Because conventional searching isn't working, I'm looking at more unconventional ways of finding her. But these things are not cheap. My search so far has drained my bank account. So I'm asking for help from my community to help me locate my beloved missing cat.

You can learn more about Merlot and my search here.

Things I Want To Do:
• Take out an ad in the Des Moines Register ≈ $100
• Schedule a phone call with cat finding expert Kim Freeman ≈ $100
• Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)  ≈ $500

Why Help?
Lossing a pet is one of the hardest experience in the world. Most pets come back after a few days, but this is not the case for me. After two weeks, most owners give up on finding their pets. But I refuse to give up. Merlot means the world to me and I will do anything to find her.

What If I Find Her?
If I find Merlot before I use I spent the donations, I will donate all remaining money to The Pet Project Midwest (who run Iowa Pet Alert, an amazing free service for lost pets in Iowa) and Furry Friends Refuge (the shelter where I adopted Merlot.)
