This is our Hansel. Abandoned as a puppy, Hansel has had a very rough start in life, but luckily, he was saved by a wonderful local rescue, South of the Bully.
Since we adopted him a year ago, he has become a member of the family and we love him dearly. Last week during one of our walks Hansel was scared by a sudden, very loud noise, and broke free from us. He is now missing and we are very worried that he is alone and scared once again, just as he was when abandoned as a puppy. The heat and traffic makes us even more concerned for his safety and we are doing everything we can do to bring him back home to us. Volunteers from South of the Bully and other rescue organizations are helping us in our efforts to get the word out about him.
Many people involved in rescue have told us about Epic Animal Recovery and how highly they would recommend having them come down to help us search for Hansel. Michelle (the owner), Epic and Seeker (the search dogs) have an amazing success rate. She assess the situation (the area where he was lost is difficult for normal procedures because it is predominantly industrial/commercial with few residences and heavily wooded) after personally seeing the area. In addition to tracking, Michelle will advise on trapping, signage and flyers, social media and other steps which may be taken in an effort to reunite Hansel and my family.
Despite our best efforts thus far, we have been unable to locate Hansel. We are trying to raise $1200 to bring Epic Animal Recovery here. If you can donate to help us it would be appreciated more than you know. We want Hansel back home with us, safe and sound in his bed. We are grateful for any contribution you are able to make and ask that you please help us put our family back together.
