My Dearest friend that I have know since I was 11 I call my Uncle E. He has very little family out there as he was adopted when he was a teenager. He has had a hard life but has the biggest heart i have ever met. He doesn't drink, do drunks or even smoke cigs. He is one of the few people out there that will work himself into the grave to help other people. He works very hard but is always helping others that he doesnt help himself enough.
He has had spinal arthritis for a long time and works fixing cars and delivering newspapers.
Well he finally slipped his disks in his neck and now is paralyzed in one of his arms.. it is between the C4 and C6 in his neck and he is going to be unable to work fully without the use of his arm. I had a similar injury and it took almost 6 months to get the use of my arm back.
It is different for everyone and he was scheduled for surgery today but it looks like there is a way to have his neck decompress enough to get his arm back like it did for me but it will take a long time and many doctors visits and care and time off to heal. He never takes time off and never takes time to take care of himself but he has no choice as his arm is not going to let him.
He has no insurance currently and He needs to get insurance and in the interim he needs to go see a really good doctor i know of that can help him pull the neck right and get him the medication and shots he will need to repair. He also will have a hospital bill which we dont know how much it is yet as he is still in Northside hospital and probably will be released soon to recover.
