Help Esteban's 3rd Cancer Battle

Donation protected
Two years ago, Esteban Hernandez was a perfectly healthy 15-year old freshman in high school—until he wasn't. In October 2014, Esteban was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He endured several rounds of chemo until the tumor was gone.

But in early 2016, the Hernandez family learned that Esteban's cancer had returned. Once again, Esteban underwent intense chemotherapy at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas. Late 2016, the Hernandez family was told that Esteban was considered cancer free.

Unfortunately, life sometimes throws us curve balls. On Tuesday, January 17 2017, Esteban was diagnosed with leukemia. His treatment this time will be far more aggressive and for a longer period of time. His doctor said without treatment, Esteban's chances for survival are slim.

Esteban comes from such a wonderful family. Fortunately, he does have health insurance through his mother's job; however, insurance only covers so much.

Because he is a minor, at least one parent has to be with him when he goes to Houston for his treatments. His father, Natalio, has been the one to accompany him for most of his treatment. Natalio is self-employed and when he isn't at work, he does not get paid.

We are asking for any help you can give. Every little bit helps to cover the costs of out-of-pocket medical expenses and lost income. We are also asking that you keep Esteban and his entire family in your prayers. We thank you for taking the time to read this post for the son of our beloved friend and co-worker. God bless.
