My little brother, Eric Nuttbrock, is only 37 years old and was recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The cancer has metastasized to his liver, bladder and prostate. This news was devastating to our family and friends.
For those of you that know him, you know that he is an extraordinary human being. He is cheerful, loving, crazy funny, unbelievably strong, obsessive about motorcycles and always put his friends and family before himself. As many of you know, Eric has two small children, a live-in girlfriend and her two small children. There is so much in life that Eric still wants to do.
He has begun a very rigorous chemo and radiation regimen. His chemo is 24/7 for six weeks, accompanied with DAILY radiation for six weeks. Following the completion of this regimen, he will then be further tested to see how the cancer has responded. Surgery may follow, if that is even an option.
Because he has to be at the hospital and do radiation on a daily basis, and the toll this has been taking on his body, he has missed, and will continue to miss, a voluminous amount of work. In addition, Cancer treatment is not cheap and insurance only pays a fraction of that treatment.
My brother is one of the strongest, most selfless people I have ever known. He is always there to give his love and support or the shirt off his back to anyone that needs it.
Now, it’s time that we send back some of that love and support to Eric. Anything you can donate will be TRULY APPRECIATED.
