Help Elaine as she recovers
Donation protected
On May 24th at 2:15am Elaine woke up and did not feel right. She was able to get her daughter Kelia's attention. Kelia recognized something was not right and called 911. Oneonta Firefighters and Paramedics arrived and knew she was having a stroke. They rushed her to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York. Due to the family knowing "her last seen normal time" Elaine was able to be a recipient of TPA which is a drug that the hospital was able to give her to break up the blood clot in her brain. She had significant facial droop, slurred speech, no use of her right arm or right leg. By 9am, the medication was starting to work. She was then placed in ICU. At this time, Elaine will not be able to return to work for a while. She is not one to ask for help but this unexpected illness is really going to put a financial burden on her. She provides for her daughter, Kelia, and granddaughter, Zakiyah. So any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
