I'm a 21 year old transgender individual who is juggling rent, student loans and medical expenses while planning to go back to school in the spring. I have been on and off hormone replacement therapy for years due to financial ups and downs, and have currently been without medication for months.
Hormone replacement therapy is an essential part of treatment for transgender individuals with gender dysphoria. Without treatment, the body is continuously affected by it's natural hormones, in this case testosterone. Testosterone has irreversible effects on the human body and every time I go off of hormone treatment, the progress I have made is eventually lost.
In order for me to both pay rent and continue to live as an independent, and progress with my transition, I am asking for financial help. If you want to help me succeed with my life goals, please consider making a small donation if possible.
The 300 dollar goal would cover roughly three months of treatment, including both hormone blockers (Spironolactone) and pro-estrogens (Estradiol and Progesterone).
