Help Diane Wallace - Fighting a Brain injury

Donation protected
On Tuesday, after a fun-filled, loving, family vacation, the Wallace families’ world was turned upside down. They were celebrating Diane and Dale’s 30th wedding anniversary, a present from their kids, Delanie and Derek.

Diane, Dale, Derek, and Delanie were in a horrific car accident on their way to the airport after a week in Denver, Colorado.

Diane suffered some serious injuries including two fractures to her skull, other facial fractures, and more. She went through an extensive 8+ hour surgery on Tuesday to bring down the inflammation on her brain and she was sedated in the Neuro ICU as they monitored the swelling. The next 2 weeks are crucial for her recovery team of neurosurgeons as they await the strength of both her body and brain to increase so they can perform the life-saving surgeries she needs.

She is not out of the woods yet, and the process may mean that they are there for weeks or months.

This all happened on a family vacation to celebrate their parents' wedding anniversary and some much-needed R&R after Diane’s treatments for breast cancer. Delanie, Derek and their father are doing okay with some bruises, soreness, and pain but they are holding all prayers for their mom.

The Wallace family has been through so much this year, and while their friends and family have fiercely rallied around them, we are coming to Go Fund Me in hopes to make this tragic time a little more bearable.

While the family is in Colorado, we’re asking for donations to cover Diane’s extensive hospital bills and provide shelter while they are in Colorado.

They're stuck in a city where they don’t know anyone, do not have their own home and are far from friends and family.

If you’re unable to donate, we ask that you share this page with friends, family, and coworkers. We could not imagine going through this tragedy, let alone so far from home. The Wallace family are kind, gracious and loving people who would give their all for others - we are hoping we can do as much for them as they would for us.

They are currently at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora and we will post updates on Diane as we receive them.
