Help Denali the Dachshund

I'm Mike Lewis, the administrator of the Little Dog Meetup group on Facebook. One of our longest-running and regular members -- Denali the dachshund (Mom Muret Crane) -- has been stricken with what doctors believe is a painful intervertebral disk disease (IVDD).  The pain spiked when Muret and Denali flew to Washington on a vet-approved vacation, and Denali experienced extreme pain. Muret has been visiting vets and specialists there for everything from pain meds to accupuncture to laser therapy. The specialists want to do an MRI or CT scan, which would determine how many disks are involved along with the complexity of a needed surgery. She would also also need rehabilitation after surgery.  She would have the procedure done in Anchorage, but she wants to reduce the pain so Denali can fly. All this is creating a tremendous financial burden, and Facebook friends have asked if I could do this GoFundMe. At 8 years old, Denali -- a nosework phenom who recently got her NW1 title from the National Association of Canine Nosework along with novice titles in AKC Scent Work and Performance Scent Dogs -- has a lot of productive and lovable years left.
