Help Delco Dawgs Save SHOT Dog

Donation protected
DELCO DAWGS IS ASKING FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE HELP.........
All who have asked how they can help us, NOW is the time. Last evening there occurred some police activity where a dog was on site. Officers secured the scene and contacted us for help in saving the dog who had gotten caught in the crossfire and shot multiple times, but still alive. We were able to safely transport the over 125lb cane corso/mastiff to a local vet to be stabilized. One of the police officers came to the vet with a donation to start the expensive care the dog will need.
After being stabilized for transport, we then took the dog to University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital where he was immediately taken for emergency surgery to stop the bleeding, repair the wounds, drain fluids in his chest and remove the bullets. Through the pain, bleeding and entire process of removing and transporting him, he was scared, but a gentle giant. We went over the procedure with the surgeon and took responsibility so he would have a chance.
Around 2am they were able to remove the bullets, put in a chest tube and repair the gaping bullet wounds, but he's not out of the woods yet. After paying $4,500 out of pocket, half of the estimated cost, we left for the evening and will be heading back shortly. We are not a 501c3 and receive NO funding or donations, EVERYTHING is paid out of OUR pockets. We ask that you please open your hearts and help us reach our goal of $9,000 for this gentle giant.
Thank you in advance from Delco Dawgs and this beautiful boy for giving him a chance. We will keep updating.
