Help Debbi Fight Her 4th Battle With Cancer

Donation protected
With incredible sadness, I need to share with you a story of my wonderful Niece, Debbi Carlon. She is fighting cancer AGAIN for the 4th time. She is undergoing at least 5 weeks of radiation and chemo every day - 5 days a week. She is in so much pain and the radiation is burning her so badly. She's bedridden from the effects of the chemo, radiation and cancer. It's getting almost impossible for her to make the trip to radiation even though  thankfully, her son or a friend is taking her. She is so weak & has lost a lot of weight. Her fatigue,  weakness and pain make it so hard for her to go to treatment. She didn't have any weight to lose before being diagnosed with cancer as you can see in the picture above of Debbi and her awesome Grandson that loves her "to the Moon!" This picture was taken only three months ago. This is her third colon surgery and this time the little colon she has left will be removed, leaving her with an ostomy. The Oncologist will decide when she has had enough radiation and chemo after taking scans etc. or he will decide she needs to have more chemo and radiation before performing her surgery to remove the rest of her colon. She also has had surgeries for endometrial cancer and melanoma. You see she has the Lynch Syndrome which makes her susceptible to MANY different types of cancer.  The gene was passed down from generation to generation. Debbi's mother had breast cancer, colon cancer and then pancreatic cancer which took her life at age 68. Her grandfather had 5 surgeries, resulting in an ostomy and 3 different cancers - colon, esophagus and lymphoma before cancer took his life. Her great-grandfather was 29 years old when he died from colon cancer.  Debbi's Uncle, her mom's brother, was only 35 when he died from cancer of the colon, brain, liver,  and other places leaving a wife and three small children. Debbi feels powerless and heavy-hearted as her oldest son also has the Lynch Syndrome and has already had colon cancer. That's 5 generations that we know about. She lost her Dad when she was only 8 and her brother because of a drunk driver when he was only 21. Debbi is without siblings or parents  for a support system and only has me along with her two awesome sons and their family that help as much as they can and a few wonderful friends.

Debbi is a salesperson on commission at a furniture store and has not been able to work for over a month already.  She has had no income since September 15. and it's very uncertain when she will be able to return to work.  She needs to wait after the chemo and radiation are finished for a month or more to have the surgery.  And the doctors are talking about chemo and radiation again after the surgery.  It could be many months before she can think about returning to work. She's worried about losing her home as she has a mortgage. Debbi is single and lives alone in a townhouse. She has never been extravagant. Her limited income has been spent on medications, vitamins, special foods recommended by one of her doctors and exorbitant and continuous medical bills.

Debbi has always been a very private person and never looked for help or sympathy from anyone.  She has taken extraordinary care of herself, not eating things that are bad for her and exercises when she's not bedridden from fighting cancer to try and boost her health. She studies all the natural research and strategies available for ideas to help build her immune system and fight cancer.  It's amazing how she can adhere to the strict and demanding practices they prescribe.   We probably would have lost her long ago if she hadn't done that. Through all the tragedy she has faced in her life, she would put a smile on her face and be positive for those around her. I know she's mortified that I'm telling her story to get help for her. I really don't mean to embarrass her or cause her any discomfort but she truly needs help. Debbi, her sons, my family and I will be extremely grateful if you find it in your heart to pray for her and to possibly donate to her cause.  All the money will be used for enormous medical bills , house payments, (so she doesn't lose her home) utilities, food and any necessary medications and supplies. She will lose her insurance from work soon and the Cobra payments will be over $800 a month which she cannot afford with no income. Thank you so much for your time and interest in reading Debbi's story of her fight for her life. Her precious little Grandson is counting on all of us teaming together in prayer, love and generosity to save Debbi's life.  May God Bless You.

Sincerely, Jane Gabrielson
