Help Curt with Epilepsy Relief
Donation protected
My husband, Curt, has had intractable epilepsy for the past 10 years. He has had brain surgeries 9 years apart for meningiomas (slow-growing, typically non-cancerous tumors - see pictures below). Due to the tumors and the surgeries, he started having seizures. He has diagnoses of grand mal and partial complex seizures. He is currently on 4 prescription medications just for the seizures, as well as prescription medications for depression and anxiety caused by the seizures/epilepsy and the effect these seizures are having on his life in general. In an effort to take control of his health, Curt recently had a vertical gastric sleeve and has lost 54 pounds so far. While this has helped him get off of his prescribed diabetes medication and all but 1 blood pressure medication, his seizures are still affecting his overall wellbeing even while following closely with his neurologist.
In the hopes of getting better control of his seizures, Curt has an appointment with a new doctor in Mt. Vernon the end of next week. We are trying to raise money for this consultation, as well as transportation and other incidentals involved with this appointment. We would be indebted and greatly appreciative of any and all help in the hopes of getting Curt some help with his seizures.
