Help Courtney Find a Home

Hi. My name is Courtney. I'm a 22 year old woman living in Minneapolis. I'm a two time victim of rape on the University of Minnesota campus and am struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. In the past year I have been in an incredibly emotionally and financially abusive relationship with an alcoholic. I was stuck in the cycle of abuse, causing me to move home to my mom's home last October, until she kicked me out on April 17, 2017. I have had a tough time escaping my abuser but am finally safely away from him. A friend has let me crash in her apartment near campus, less than a block away from the house where I was raped the second time. Everyday I've been here has been triggering. My friend needs me to be out of her place by May 15th and as of now, I have no place to go. I have less than $500 to my name and a cat to accompany me. I currently cannot afford to put down a deposit and first month's rent anywhere in Minneapolis. I've been working as hard as I can and am looking for additional jobs, but living so close to my trauma and without the support of my family and friends has been taxing. I'm desperate.
