HELP CONTINUE TO CHANGE AND SAVE LIVES - 12 STEP RECOVERY CLUB HOUSE

Converted from a 1924 neighborhood bar and opened in April, 2015, the Trinidad Alano Club (TAC) in Trinidad, Colorado presently hosts 14 Step meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and the Alanon Family Group. Attendance and frequency of these meetings within the 3,000 square feet of the Handicapped Accessible facility held in the upper level and its lower level are increasing. For example, the 4 random and hard to find AA meetings once held around town have consolidated and expanded to 9 AA meetings inside this one easy to find location. Narcotics Anonymous meetings went from none at all to 3 a week with consistent attendance of recovered addicts who, like the recovered alcoholics under its roof, are now productive and returning to professions in the work place. The all-new Alanon Family group meetings are now held twice a week with regular attendees.

TAC is already hosting, safe, clean and sober family oriented social functions at holidays as well as seasonal and sober get-togethers. Lives are changing. Lives are being saved. The TAC is a registered not-for-profit 501c4 tax exempt organization and is managed by a responsible volunteer Board of Directors - each with a personal interest in its long term success. It has already proven its consistent and reliable effectiveness within the community, and now needs the financial help necessary to open its doors to a greater base within the town.

Now on firm footing, the Board members of the TAC desire to focus on and expand their long term goals as hosts to addiction and recovery related workshops and events through community outreach. The groups utilizing the Club are already meeting commitments inside the criminal justice system. The TAC seeks to support their efforts with the development of a library, offer longer opening hours and educational videos. The Club has already hosted well attended workshops within the professional community and seeks to invite additional panels and speakers from professional as well as other recovery groups outside the small town of Trinidad in order to diversify the educational experience the Club House is intended to provide.

The TAC is not affiliated with AA, NA or Alanon in any way. Its mission is a dedication to providing a safe environment for these and other 12 Step Groups, facilitating their primary purpose and providing a healthy location that supports and advances the individual recovery of their members.
