Help Bethany fight Lymphoma
Donation protected
Bethany, or “Noodle,” is a 14 year old girl who constantly brings smiles to everyones faces. I cant remember a time I wasn’t laughing around her. She has such a contagious personality. Even though she is only 14, Noodle is astonishingly mature for her age and someone I constantly enjoy having talks with. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family at home and binge watching The Office, singing, or playing basketball.
Earlier this year Bethany had a noticed a mass growing on her lymph node and underwent many tests. After a biopsy, she was finally diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in July 2019. Lymphoma is a cancer that affects parts of the immune system and can eventually limit her ability to fight off infection. Every year in the US there are less than 200,000 cases of this disease. In response to this diagnoses, Bethany began chemotherapy in August and plans to undergo treatment for 12 weeks.
My overall goal of this campaign is to help pay for a wig made of Bethany’s hair to make her feel comfortable as she transitions into high school this fall. The family is doing everything they can to be strong for Bethany and create a “normal” environment for her despite how tough things really are. Her parents are both such hard working people who have raised two wonderful kids. They are truly living every parents’ worst nightmare. I really hope the community will want to rise up and support this wonderful family as well!
I’d like to thank everyone in advance for donations and words of encouragement.
