Help Ben get to Hobart

Dear Friends and Fellow Toastmasters… I need your Help!
I just won First Place in the Toastmasters Northern Division Speech Contest in the International Speech section, and will now progress to the District level contest.
I’m so excited, and still a little in shock, to be competing at this level against the best public speakers in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.
But I need some financial assistance to attend the Contest at the D73 Convention in Hobart (18th - 20th May). And this is where you come in.
To attend, I need to raise enough funds to cover airfares from Melbourne to Hobart (return), accommodation for 3 nights, a ticket to the convention, as well as miscellaneous costs like transport to and from the airport, and food.
Any contribution, however small, would make a big difference to getting me to Hobart in May.
I’ve only been a Toastmaster since May 2016, and it has been an amazing experience. In my first year competing I placed 3rd at the Area level. This year I went two steps further in winning at Area as well as Divisional level. If I win at District, I will be headed to Chicago in August to the 2018 World Championships of Public Speaking.
Being able to share my life experiences and journey with audiences through public speaking, is a dream come true. If I can touch one person’s life, educate one person, or help one person feel they are not alone on their journey, then I have succeeded, whether I win at the District Level or not.
