Help Ben and Arielle Rebuild after House Fire

Hello dear friends - 

I'm writing on behalf of Ben Hall and Arielle Laws, whose lovely home in Hamtramck caught fire on Saturday evening during the intense evening storms. 

Thankfully, both of them and the dogs are OK, but the house and most of their belongings like clothing, computers,  beds, school books and records, are lost and there will be a long and indeterminate amount of time before they will be able to settle back into anything that feels like a home. 

If you know Ben and Arielle, you know them as extraordinarily generous, humble, and loving people that would never think to ask for support in this way, but the scale of this tragedy is unthinkable, and the needs are great and will continue to be so for several months to come.  I wanted to offer a way for the larger community of friends who aren't in Detroit to help out. 

Before the insurance is sorted out and the larger project of rebuilding begins, there are many intermediate needs like setting up temporary housing, emergency travel and disruptions to Arielle's grad work, clean up efforts, and getting clothing and bedding and other living essentials. I started this GoFundMe to help them out with these costs and other immediate needs over the next several weeks.
