Help Baby Mikey's Family

This is little baby Mikey - he was born on the 13th of December 2017. He is 11 weeks old today. Last week he was diagnosed with Leukemia. We spoke to Mikey's parents, Nicola Skehan and James Doran yesterday: "Mikey is coming out of ICU today. He will be getting his Freddy in tomorrow and starting his chemo. we just have to pray that we will have a different outcome".

You see, two Years ago, n the 12th of February, 2016, Mikey's big brother Seán went to be with the angels when he lost his fight with Childhood Cancer. Forever 5 years old.

From Nicola: "That was the day our world fell apart. We find every day without Seán very hard. We will never forget him. His big brother, Dylan, talks about him a lot and you can see how much he misses him.
Our little Rainbow Baby, Mikey will know everything about his brother Seán as he grows up. Nothing or nobody could ever replace Seán, but Mikey will surely keep us busy and keep us on our toes and give us and his big brother lots of joy."



We're asking for you, if you can, to share even just as little as the price of a cup of coffee. This family is going through so much, has been through so much and financial stresses and strains shouldn't add to this. Having a child with cancer can become very expensive, very quickly. Hospital trips, stays in St. John's Ward, fuel, parking, missing work because you're fighting with your child. It all adds up and even though money can't fix anything, we want to be able to help alleviate even just part of their burden.

This family already works hard to raise funds in Seán's memory for the charities that helped them through his fight, now, unfortunately, they're in need of that help again.
