Help Ashley Kelemen Conquer Cancer

Donation protected
Ashley is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. Not only is she my best friend, but we are also sister in laws. She is married to my husband’s older brother, David Kelemen.

I write this to ask for her tribe to band together to help a very special person!

2019 was off to an amazing start! In February, Ashley graduated with her B.A. & credentials in Early Childhood Development, about to begin student teaching, about to celebrate her birthday & was looking forward to throwing her son’s first birthday bash the following month.

Ashley had previously gone to the Dr. regarding pain in her abdomen & was quickly diagnosed with a hernia that needed surgery. While waiting for her referral to go through the pain only grew worse & worse. Just days after celebrating her 33rd birthday & graduation, she went into urgent care. After numerous tests and a biopsy, we were all shocked when we heard that Ashley was diagnosed with Myeloid Sarcoma, a rare cancer. Myeloid sarcoma (MS) is a rareextramedullary manifestation of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), which occurs in 3% to 5% of AML cases. This disease is going to require Ashley to be in a FIERCE BATTLE FOR HER LIFE to be the best mother to Nixon and to see him grow up!!

She is currently at UCI medical center and will start her first round of chemo Tuesday, March 27 which will be for a week straight, followed by a three week recovery stay at the hospital. We are currently waiting to hear tests results regarding the need for a bone marrow transplant. After this round of chemo, her medical team anticipates she will have to endure monthly treatments that will be a week long each time with continued hospital stays. It could be months or much longer, having to live with added expenses, but with only one income.

We know that this obstacle will be a challenging time, but we also know how strong and brave Ashley is! Her determination, resilience and positive spirit will carry her through this!! We hope that through this hard time we can give her some assistance and comfort as she continues to undergo long days and even longer nights in the hospital, away from home and time away from her son. We hope that with the help of her loved ones we can assist her to keep her main focus on her health and recovery without the having to worry about other things like finances.

She has the biggest heart, cares so much for her loved ones & is always there to lend a helping hand when you need her. Now she needs our help!!

We are asking for your support, love, prayers and donations.

No amount is too small & your generosity is greatly appreciated. Every little bit will help with living expenses, medical expenses and child care for Ashley and her Family.

Thank you for the bottom of our hearts.
