Help Andrew get back to Kijabe
Donation protected
Any of you who have visited us in Kenya know our friend, Anne, who has become like family to us. She is a single mom to 2 amazing children - Susan (13) and Andrew (6). Andrew was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, had surgery in Nairobi, and while still recovering from the first surgery, a new tumor was found this week. Anne was told Andrew's prognosis is terminal. She is trying to get him transferred back to Kijabe for palliative care in their own community, closer to their support system. Right now they are completely isolated in the hospital in Nairobi which is over an hour from Kijabe. The hospital won't release Andrew for transfer until his bill is paid in full. We are down to the last $2300 needed to get Andrew home and time is running out. We've had such a quick response already that I'm going to increase the total (to $3300) to hopefully cover his palliative care and at least some of the funeral expenses. Let's come together to help Anne during this terribly difficult time!
*We will be withdrawing the money and sending to Anne immediately (since this is a very time-sensitive need) as she is not able to withdraw funds directly herself.
