Hi Guys,
My name is Eduard Pirvu. I'm trying to make it to Florida, Melbourne from 15 October to 2 November on the baseball camp called www.baseballscoutingleague.com where pro scouts and other independent teams will attend and I am trying to sign. I get the visa 4 days ago and I am allowed to go in the states! I am a Romanian baseball player, becoming a pro 1 year ago and I want to tell you a part of my story.
My goal is like of every player, to play in MLB one day. I have 24 years old and I know is not impossible because I know nothing is impossible when you believe it with all your heard and you work so hard for it.
I am ready to show everyone what a Romanian guy can do. I am ready to prove that I can do it, against all odds.
In 2016 July: I am having an injury. Dislocated left shoulder. After a fast rehab, I get the call to play with Team Europe at a big tournament in Asia(Taiwan) called: Asain Winter League. In 2 months after my rehab I was pitching in Taiwan. Against all the odds I was becoming one of our best pitcher with an era of 1.50 in 12 ip.
Almost all the guys from my team was playing professional baseball around the world, most of them in the states for MLB teams in different levels, other guys in the top clubs in Europe which are like the same level of High A or Double A in the states. I am becoming the MVP of the game also against Korea after I threw 7 innings which was the most innings of a european starter. TIll that moment I was a reliever.
Was pretty cool story because was my first time when I threw on the lights and it was amazing! Great Feeling!
The second story was happening this year in Italy. After the regular season, I become the 5th pitcher of the championship while not too many people give me this chance, actually not a lot of people because I am a "Romanian", but only the people that believed in me, knew that I will do something special against the odds. A big championship, with a lot of good players from the states or other parts of the world playing in very good leagues I had to compete.
I feel excellent, I feel confident and I feel that I will make some good stories in the near future. I just need some shots and I will prove everyone what I can do.
I want to get faster to Florida, like 10 October so I can start the practice and get in shape for 15th. Lets make history!!
