Amina's Ongoing Medical Expenses

As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu (May the peace and mercy of God be with you)

Dear Sister/Brother, 

I pray this letter finds you and your family in the best of health and spirits.  I have been an active member of the American Muslim community for over 40 years now, having spent more than half of that time in Northern Virginia working for and volunteering with several Islamic organizations and schools.  

In 2011, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (PD) as well as chronic neck and back pain.  Two years later, I was forced to stop working and apply for disability benefits.   I continue to have out-of-pocket expenses related to (PD) and pain management.  Unfortunately, my insurance does not pay for the treatments and my modest disability income is not sufficient to cover them.  
  
In 2016, I started a campaign to raise funds to help cover the cost of doctor’s visits, medical procedures and treatments/supplements.  Thanks to the generosity of so many people, I surpassed my initial goal.  After several people have asked how they can help on a continuous basis, I decided to reopen the campaign to help cover my on-going monthly costs.    

I thank and appreciate all of you for your prayers, encouragement and monetary support.
