In Memory of Amber Greenidge

           In an unexpected , unfortunate turn of events on Sunday, January 20, 2019 the life of Amber Jacqueline Greenidge was tragically brought to an end. Amber born January 12, 1996 had just celebrated her 23rd birthday the week before. Amber was loved by many. Anyone that knew her would agree she was energetic, bold, sassy, outgoing, talkative and fun to be around. She was mostly known and will be remembered for her outrageous sense of humor as she always knew just what to say to make you laugh.
      Due to the unexpected and tragic nature of her death we, her family, are completely unprepared and overwhelmed. So we need your help. We have set up this go fund me campaign to ask for your help to give her the memorial/funeral she deserves. Our family is spread out across the East Coast, with Amber herself living in Virginia, but New York has always been home.  So there's no more appropriate thing to do but take her home to her beloved Brooklyn where her funeral services and burial will take place (details TBA).  Here are the estimated funeral costs:

Transport home: $3000

We have 8 days till we have to move her and pay for her funeral expenses.  So anything you can give will be greatly appreciated, no amount is too small. Her mom and sister will be in charge of final expenses.

Though her life was cut short, that didn't limit the impact on those around her. Her magnetic spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all who knew her. Amber’s memory will forever live in the hearts or her family, friends and the multitude who grew to love her as we did.

UPDATE #2: Thank you so much for your contributions they are tremendous help. Final details for the memorial service will be coming in the next few days but this is what is  planned so far.

The Memorial will be held in New York on Friday February 1, 2019.  We are still finalizing the location but it will most likely be in Brooklyn. Please stay tuned for more details.
