Help Amanda get a used car

Today my car gave up its ghost and i need to get another car asap. I live in a remote area and work as a personal care attendent for the disabled and drive my son to school and back eveey day. With out a car many people who depend on me will suffer.
I have been below poverty line for many years. I have not been able to save anything due to crushing student loans and limited hours to work due to being a single mom.
I have never asked my community for funds but this is very serious situation. Please help me raise 2400 to purchase a 2005 ford focus.
