Help my baby girl to Fight Cancer!

Donation protected

Our daughter, Alima Kopey, was born on December 24th, 2016 in Kazakhstan, Astana. On May 15th z2018 she was diagnosed with Yolk Sac Tumor (cancer). This is a very serious and rare form of cancer.

In the very beginning when we didn’t know what was wrong, with our baby. She was constantly crying and we kept showing her to different doctors in Kazakhstan but all we heard from the doctors was” she fell down on her back and this created a bruise and swollen area around her coccyx”. They kept telling us there is nothing serious.

We knew something was wrong and decided to bring Alima to a gynecologist who told us that we urgently need to do Diagnostic and it showed a teratoma and we could not even imagine that everything is so serious.

We decided to get full medical examination in Seoul, South Korea, and do the surgery there if needed. When we arrived to Korea, took all the tests and we were shocked! Our Alima was diagnosed with cancer and she had metastasis all over her organs (more than 50% of organs). We had 3 chemo courses in Korea but kept researching and looking for the best hospital that could provide Alima treatment that increased her chances to live.

In the beginning of July 2018, we arrived at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX and are currently receiving treatment here. Our baby already had chemo therapy. August 17th, Alima had her tumor removal surgery. Once she recovers she will continue chemo therapy.

The cost of post surgery treatments exceeds $500.000, which includes high dose chemo therapies and stem cell transplant.

Your support, prayers and donation is greatly appreciated. May you all find yourself blessed.

-"Sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT) - is an unusual tumor that is located at the base of the tailbone (coccyx). This birth defect is more common in female than in male babies. Although the tumors can grow very large, they are usually not malignant (that is, cancerous). They can usually be cured by surgery after birth, but occasionally cause trouble before birth."
